Codes of practice

The animal welfare guidelines and codes of practice in Australia set the standard for how livestock are to be treated on-farm, during transportation and at the saleyard and processing plants. Both Federal and State legislation pertaining to animal welfare integrate in a way that ensures animal welfare is effectively and efficiently upheld. Audits reveal guidelines are put into practice and that the welfare of animals is maintained in Australia.
