NVD (cattle) and waybill

The NVD for cattle provides a practical means of identifying:

  • Animals with exposure to residues
  • HGP treated from untreated livestock
  • Management history
  • Compliance with withholding periods and export slaughter intervals
  • Compliance with Feeding restrictions (eg meat and bonemeal)
  • Use of supplementary feeding and grazing history
  • Correct trading name of the vendor and the vendor’s property identification code (PIC)

Producers must declare on the NVD that cattle have not been fed meat and bonemeal. This NVD also incorporates the travelling stock statement or waybill.

Example of NVD (cattle) and Waybill  – valid from 1 March 2004.

A separate NVD has been developed for suppliers of cattle to the European Union (EU).

Example of NVD (EU cattle) and Waybill  – valid from 1 March 2004.
