The National Vendor Declaration (NVD)

The NVD ensures that the livestock vendor is responsible for declaring any potential risks to food safety. State legislation underpins the NVD, thus producers who provide false or misleading information on NVD forms face prosecution and substantial fines. There are currently six types of NVDs in operation:

Cattle

Provides a practical means of identifying compliance to requirements. more

Bobby Calves

An NVD Waybill for bobby calves is currently in development. more

Sheeps and Lambs

Provides information about the treatment history and residue status of sheep and lambs. more

Goats

Provides information about the treatment history of goats. more
