National Feedlot Accreditation Scheme (NFAS)
All grainfed cattle in Australia destined for export markets are required by the National Feedlot Accreditation Scheme to be individually identified with a permanent unique identification number when they enter a feedlot. The identification will allow traceback to the farm the animal was sourced from and traceforward to the point of slaughter.
