The use of hormonal growth promotants (HGPs) is strictly regulated. The Australian Government agency the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) plays an important role in HGP regulation, by authorising importers and resellers of HGPs and requiring accurate records of supply be kept.
The Public Chemical Registration Information System Search on the APMVA website allows people to search for product details by various search terms including product number, name, active constituent etc.
